Killingworth & Parrott moved to their new premises at 65 Chapel Street Belper Derbyshire DE56 1AR on 1st July 2019.
The firm had previously been located at 17 Bridge Street Belper Derbyshire since it was founded in 2011 by local solicitors David Killingworth and Stephen Parrott.
The move has been prompted by the firm’s growth over the past few years and a requirement for more extensive facilities for clients and staff. The new premises are situated in a historic1890’s building that had been vacant for approximately 20 years and fell into disrepair. The building was acquired by the firm in August 2018 and has been completely restored by Killingworth & Parrott over the past year.
The new premises are significantly larger and provide a more welcoming reception area, several offices, meeting rooms plus a kitchen and disabled toilet.
According to Killingworth & Parrott co-founder, Stephen Parrott, “We outgrew the old premises years ago and having looked at a range of options we were relieved to secure the new premises. The new premises have plenty of space and are ideally situated for our clients and staff.”
“Whilst we’ve invested a considerable amount in the restoration, we’re really pleased to have been able to breathe life back into a local building that had been left vacant and in disrepair for many years, and the supportive comments from the community during the restoration have encouraged us along the way.”
Killingworth & Parrott co-founder, David Killingworth, adds “As always, our emphasis remains firmly on providing people in Belper and the surrounding area with a full range of family law services, together with a highly personal service.”
Killingworth & Parrott’s family legal service offering includes advising on and preparing wills of varying complexities, general estate planning, powers of attorney, creating and managing Charities and Trusts, probate, residential and commercial property transactions and issues relating to the loss of mental capacity and applications to the Court of Protection.
Since its launch in 2011, the company has grown steadily with clients praising the personal, accommodating service provided by the firm with many recommending the practice’s services to family and friends.
David Killingworth and Stephen Parrott are both Solicitors and STEP qualified practitioners (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
